Database Architect

  • Knowledge of and experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options using MSSQL
  • Mastery in developing code that is robust and easy to use, not easy to write
  • Analytical development of features that replicate across diverse environments in multiple countries.
  • A sample project: learn the architecture of SQL Server 2000 databases located at 1000+ locations nationwide, each of which is actively receiving data from a half dozen VB6 applications; design and implement a project plan to upgrade each of those DBs from SQL 2000 to SQL 2019; convert each of the VB6 applications to VB.NET; implement the plan in a high availability production environment without missing production transactions.
